Financing
ÖFSE is primarily financed by public funds provided by the Austrian federal government.
In 2011 its overall budget amounted to approximately EUR 1.5 million. The main part of these funds was provided by the Austrian Development Agency – ADA. Additional sponsors include church institutions such as the Carol Singing Campaign of the Austrian Catholic Children's Movement. Own resources are generated from rental activities.
The financial statements and project accounting are audited and the balance sheet is prepared by an external auditor (tax consultancy office Key-Tax).
The accounts are published in the annual report.
